Working With The Jewel of Life

Living the Goddess Lifestyle is all about living in alignment to our deepest desires and needs. When we recognise the true power of living this way we become open to all that the universe has to offer. We also want to experience as much of it as we can in the fullest way possible. The problem is, that often in the pursuit of living a full life we actually end up living a busy one instead. One that can leave us feeling unfulfilled and out of balance. There are 3 main reasons why this can happen…
The first is when we are trying to do too many things at once… We have to remember that we are human and whilst life is full of both possibility and opportunity, we still have limitations when it comes to our time and energy. This means that if we really want to live a life that resonates within then we have to be intentional with what we focus on.
The second reason is when we give significantly more attention to some aspects of our lives than others… Now of course it is impossible for us to give the exact amount of time and energy to everything simultaneously. There will always be something that needs to take more focus. However, as multifaceted beings we have a range of needs that need to be met if we are to fully function. It doesn’t matter how much we excel in certain areas of life if we are lacking in others, something will always feel missing.
The third reason is when we are doing things that are not in alignment with our true selves… This is usually because we we want to fit in and be accepted by those around us, so we ignore our true desires and instead opt for actions we believe are expected of us. However, sometimes we do things out of alignment simply because we don’t know what it is that truly makes us tick. If we want to be truly happy and fulfilled then we need to make a conscious effort to explore what that is so that we can implement it into our lives. This is where the Jewel of Life comes in…

What Is The Jewel of Life?
The Jewel of Life is our unique self-growth system that is designed to help you create more balance, bliss and brilliance in your life.
Just like a precious jewel, each one of us is unique, multifaceted and full of potential. When a jewel is in its raw state there is no denying its beauty and character, but it is not until it is cut and polished that we really see it’s brilliance shine throughout.
Just like the jewel, we too can shine even brighter by defining and polishing the different facets of our lives. In our Jewel of Life system we do this by not only identifying our true desires but also working on our inner beliefs and challenges so that we can take aligned action to fulfil each facet in a simple and sustainable way.
The Facets
There are 9 main facets in the Jewel of Life system. Within each facet is a Core Lesson of Self which teaches us how our inner world (our relationship with ourselves) is reflected back into our outer world (our experience of life).
Spirit & Soul (The Core Lesson is Self-Acceptance)
Love & Romance (The Core Lesson is Self-Love)
Money & Finance (The Core Lesson is Self-Worth)
Health & Wellbeing (The Core Lesson is Self-Care)
Friends & Family (The Core Lesson is Self-Respect)
Fun & Recreation (The Core Lesson is Self-Motivation)
Career & Business (The Core Lesson is Self-Development)
Environment & Surroundings (The Core Lesson is Self-Preservation)
Attitude & Gratitude (The Core Lesson is Self-Awareness)
Working With The Jewel of Life
If you are new to the Jewel of Life then the best place to start is by doing a general audit for each facet of your life. The aim here is to get some initial clarity on what it is you actually want and to also identify what is and isn’t working so you can begin to make the necessary changes.
To help you get started we’ve put together the following questions below…
1. How would you currently rate this facet? Dull, bright or brilliant?
Using a metric system to measure our success is a great way to not only get a feel of what is going on in each facet, but also in our lives as a whole. Additionally, it can help us to track our progress and inspire us to keep going forward in the direction of our true desires.
For the Jewel of Life we use the Brilliance Scale, which consists of dull, bright or brilliant. You can find out more about the scale here, but in a nutshell ‘dull’ equals unfulfilled, ‘bright’ equals fairly fulfilled and ‘brilliant’ equals very fulfilled.
You may prefer to rate each facet at the end of the audit once you have more insight. There’s no right or wrong way, just do whatever feels right for you.
2. How do you feel when you think of this facet?
Before we begin to create any kind of change in our lives it is important that we check in with how we are actually feeling first. Our emotions not only play a big role in how we experience life but they also help to shape our experiences through the decisions we make.
All too often we can get caught up in the day-to-day of living without ever making the time to actually see where we are at emotionally. This means that if things aren’t going as well as we would like, then we can end up just accepting it instead of trying to change it.
There can also be a tendency to ignore any negative emotions within us as they are often viewed as a sign of weakness as opposed to a sign of humanness! But when we accept how we truly feel we actually open ourselves up for healing, growth and expansion.
On the flip side it can also mean that we are not making the time to celebrate the good stuff too. Sometimes we really don’t give ourselves enough credit for what we are doing right, and Goddess you are doing more than you know!
3. What do you want from this facet and why?
In order for us to create fulfilment in each area of life then we first have to decide what it is we actually want. Surprisingly, this isn’t always as easy as it sounds.
When it comes to your goals don’t play small just because what you want seems impossible. If it’s truly what you desire then you will find a way. Equally don’t feel like you have set massive goals for yourself just because that’s what everyone else seems to be doing. Your dreams don’t have to be gigantic in order to be valid or worthwhile. They just have to be real to you. Remember, this is about what you need, not what others think.
Too many of us have been conditioned to suppress our true desires and to follow a path that is set out for us. But if we want to be truly happy then we have to live in a way that aligns with us at a core level and it may take some digging to get there.
If you are struggling to work out what you want then think about how you want to feel within each facet of your life and subsequently what experiences would create that for you.
One of the most powerful ways to decide if we really want something is to ask ourselves why we want it. This not only validates our true desires but it also acts as motivation to make it happen. Sometimes the things that we thought we wanted are no longer valid. Sometimes we realise they never really were.
4. What can you do to make this facet shine more brilliantly?
Now that we’ve identified what we want from each facet it is time to start working towards actually making it happen. Taking action is often the hardest part of all because even with a beautiful vision and a strong belief it can be easy to get confused and overwhelmed with what we need to do.
The best way to overcome this is to create a detailed plan of action that will take us from the first step to our final outcome. As you create your plan think about what you need to learn, what tools you need to acquire and who you need to reach out to for help. Also think about what challenges you face and how you can overcome them to ensure your success.
Whilst it’s good to work towards big goals try to focus on what you can implement straight away in order to give yourself a quick win in each facet. Not only will this make you feel great but it can also create momentum for bigger changes.
Just remember that working on the facets is a long term process. This isn’t about trying to change everything overnight, that is impossible. Transformation is a process and processes take time. But with dedication and focus you will get there!

Delving Deeper…
Doing the audit is not only a great way to get started with creating a life you love, but it can also help you maintain it. In fact, we recommend doing this process on a regular basis. However, if you want to create bigger success then you have to take a bigger more in-depth approach to each of the facets. To help you achieve this we have created a 5-step process that guides you to…
1. REFLECT on your needs, wins and challenges
2. RELEASE what is not serving you and your life
3. RENEW your habits and actions to ensure success
4. Create RITUAL to help you implement the changes
5. And REVIEW your progress so you can adjust where needed
You can find out more about how to implement our 5-step process here.
Whilst it can be tempting to try and make lots of big changes in our lives at once, in reality that often causes more confusion, overwhelm and stagnation. Instead it is far more beneficial to focus on one facet at a time.
Now this doesn’t mean that we neglect the other areas of our lives, it just means we give our goals in that area more focus so that we can create a bigger impact in a shorter space of time.
Choosing Your Facet of Focus…
Where you start in the process is really down to personal choice, but if you are struggling to decide then think about what would create the biggest impact in your life right now.
Go through the audit and see if there are any common themes that come up for you and identify why you think that is. Although the facets are all interconnected you may find that there is one that seems to crop up again and again.
This is a great exercise to do regardless, because whilst you may be tempted to delve into an area of life where your biggest desires lay, it may actually be more beneficial for you to create stability somewhere else first.
