Fun & Recreation is a main facet in The Jewel of Life System, which is all about self-motivation and joy. Joy is a basic need and desire for all of us and it’s so important that we spend adequate time doing the things that we love.

Although life is for living, we often put our recreational activities at the bottom of the priority list. With our busy schedules it can be so easy to get caught up with work and chores and not make enough time for fun. Even if you love your job it is still important to have a clear distinction between work and play if you want to live a life of balance and bliss.

However, it’s not just about making the time to have fun, it’s also about allowing ourselves to be present in the moment. So often when we are doing things of a recreational nature we can be so preoccupied with everything else that’s going on in our lives that we struggle to enjoy what is going on in the here and now.

So Goddess, how much fun do you have in your life and are you making enough time to do the things that bring you joy? What activities do you actually enjoy doing and how often do you get to do them? Are you putting off the things you’ve wanted to do for ages or do you make a conscious effort to try them out?
