The Goddess Jewel Kit
Whether you are following our Jewel of Life system or embarking on your own alternative path of authentic living, creating the Goddess lifestyle often involves a great deal of change. It’s all very well having the intention to start living life on your terms (and believe me intention is powerful), but sometimes we need a bit more than that to get it off the ground and you know… actually follow through.
The thing is, change rarely happens overnight. Our behaviour is moulded by a series of patterns and habits and so if we are trying to accomplish something new, then we need to give ourselves time to form new ones that support it.
And even when we’ve begun to create these new found habits we still have to learn how to maintain them. Let’s face it, life can get pretty hectic and regardless of how well we are doing or how much our new habits are serving us, we can easily fall off of the wagon into what feels more simple and convenient.
This is why if you are embarking on any kind of change it is important you are equipped with the right tools to get the job done. After all, every Goddess needs a Jewel Kit to keep her shining bright!
A Jewel Kit is really a set of tools that you use to enhance and support your life (this is especially the case using our Jewel of Life system). Now what’s inside may include some pieces that you’d expect to find in a traditional jewel box (after all adornment is a powerful tool in itself), but a Goddesses Jewel Kit contains both jewels and tools to help enhance her life.
Tools can be used in a variety of ways, from the initial planning and development stage, to problem solving, to execution and finally as a way to review progress further into the process. They aren’t there to do the work for you. No, that must come from you, but they are there to make it easier.
Whilst cultivating a more positive and supportive mindset (AKA The Goddess Mindset) is crucial in creating change, we believe that a holistic approach encompassing Mind, Body, Spirit & Style is always the most beneficial. Below are some of our favourite and most effective tools for creating and maintaining positive and supportive change:
Crystals
Let’s start with the jewels, crystals (and minerals) to be exact. As well as being beautiful to look at, crystals have a far bigger purpose than their aesthetics. Each crystal has its own set of metaphysical properties which when placed either on or near the body or even within a specific space can rebalance and harmonise the energy. You can find out more details on the properties of our favourite stones over on our Crystal & Gemstone Guide.
Positive Affirmations
In case you didn’t know, we love affirmations. In fact every Monday we release a new Affirmation of the Week for you to implement over the following 7 days. Affirmations are the act or process of affirming something. They are basically statements that you make, either out loud or (most often) internally to yourself. Whether you realise it or not you are affirming things all of the time. The problem is, when it’s statements about yourself, it’s not always very positive. However, by consciously repeating positive statements to ourselves we can begin to retrain our brains to start to think and believe in more nourishing and supportive ways.
Visualisation
Our minds are probably the most powerful tool we have to creating the life that we want. You may have heard of the phrase ‘Our Thoughts Become Things’, well… unfortunately many of our thoughts and beliefs can be a little on the limiting side. By visualising the desired outcome of what you want to achieve, you are not only putting it out there and making it clear to the universe (hello, law of attraction), but you are also making it clear to yourself. Ultimately, deep down it will always be you that needs the most convincing, but by connecting with the vision as if it already exists the possibility of it happening will become more and more realistic.
A Plan
Ok, so you may know what you want but do you actually know how you are going to get it? Whether it is in the form of a carefully curated document or by using a pre-made workbook, if you are trying to create change and stick to it then you’re gonna need a plan of action. Remember: Fail to plan and you plan to fail. Even if the new change is simple, change itself isn’t easy. The bigger picture can quickly become overwhelming and uncertain and you can end up either going around in circles or not moving at all. However, if you take the time to work out the steps you need to take you’ll be in a much better position to make it happen.
Checklists & Trackers
So you have your plan, but with all the best intentions in the world it can be hard to not only follow through on new habits but to also assess how well you are doing. The purpose of checklists and trackers is to remind, encourage, track and evaluate your progress along the way. Plus they serve as a great reminder to implement all of your chosen tools on a regular basis.
There’s so many great tools out there, you just have to try them out and see what works for you. But here’s a lil Goddess Guidance: try to avoid sparkly object syndrome. Whilst experimenting is half the fun, do not use that as an excuse to not do the actual work. Remember the tools are there to assist you not distract you. But that being said…time to fill up your jewel box, Goddess!
