Astro Jewels: Weekly Horoscope 24th July 2023 – 30th July 2023

How are you holding up after last week’s chaotic cosmic energy, [GoddessName]? I am pleased to say that we’ve got a slightly less intense week ahead in the cosmos! 

On Tuesday the 25th July, the Moon moves into the sign of passionate Scorpio, where it forms a square to the Sun in equally passionate Leo. Although, this could help ignite some sparks of desire and drive, this could also potentially provoke feelings of pride and stubbornness. Especially if we feel that our needs or wants aren’t being met, or even being heard! 

In response, you may find yourself also not wanting to hear others, and you may start doubling down on something and refusing to budge on an issue. We are dealing with fixed energy here after all.

A few hours later we officially enter the First Quarter phase of the lunar cycle, where the Sun/Moon square reaches exactitude, and you may find the tension intensifies.  

This is the time to look at the intentions that you set at the beginning of the cycle and to take some significant steps towards fulfilling them. It is likely that you will be feeling some kind of conflict around what you committed to. Again, this could be a conflict from others who oppose your plans in some way, or it could be an obstacle that blocks your next apparent move. 

If this obstacle comes from within, then it’s time to delve deep to detect where you may have resistance and why. If it is from an external source, then investigate what resources you need to remove it. Either way, in this case, the fixed energy could serve you well in staying the course.

Mercury the planet of ideas and communication joins up with Venus the planet of love and relationships, on the 27th July. This conjunction is happening in the last few degrees of Leo. the 28th to be exact, [GoddessName]. As Venus is now retrograde, there is an opportunity to reflect on what ideas you hold around your relationships, what you truly value within them and whether or not they are currently holding up to your needs and expectations.

The following day, on the 28th July, the Moon enters adventurous Sagittarius. This transit will start off by forming a free flowing fire trine to the Sun in Leo, giving us a boost of energy and enthusiasm. There is a real opportunity here to make some strides with your goals. This is further supported, as the Moon will also be forming a square to Saturn in Pisces. This is a time to take real actionable steps towards your big vision.  

Much later that day, Mercury enters its home sign of Virgo, giving us all a more analytical view on our ideas and how we communicate. If you have projects or tasks that require a more methodical approach or a greater eye for details, then this energy is perfect for that. Make the most of it over the next few weeks though, [GoddessName], as Mercury will station retrograde on the 24th of August.

On the 29th July we enter the Gibbous phase of the lunar cycle, inviting us to evaluate our progress so far. In true Sagittarius style, you may be feeling optimistic about things, or you may just be trying to find a way to look on the bright side and reframe the results you have so far. Either way, it’s time to bring in some of that new Mercury in Virgo discernment to help you refine your approach. Be honest with yourself about what needs to be done, and what needs to go.

Then finally on the 30th of July the Moon enters Capricorn, giving us more stamina to do the practical work that our ideas and intentions require.
