The 9 To Shine – July 2021

Welcome to The 9 to Shine, our monthly blog series where we share some of our favourite jewels of wisdom for creating more balance, bliss and brilliance. Each month we curate a collection of 9 tried and tested tips, tool’s and to-do’s to help you and your life shine even brighter.
Here’s this month’s 9 to Shine…

1. Journal prompt: What does it really mean to find balance, bliss and brilliance in the facet of Fun & Recreation?
The facet of Fun & Recreation is all about self-motivation and joy. Take time this month to journal and explore what it means to create a sense of harmony, happiness and fulfilment within this area of life.
2. Affirmation: “I give myself permission to be happy”
Spend a few minutes each day repeating the affirmation to yourself. As you say the words, notice any thoughts or feelings that come up for you. Become aware of how they make you feel in your mind, body and spirit. Allow yourself to explore how it feels and what it really means to give yourself permission to be truly happy.

3. Work with Yellow Calcite
Yellow Calcite is a beautiful stone that activates both the solar plexus and crown chakra to create inspired action by connecting our will with our higher mind. This is a great stone to work with if you are struggling with clarity or confidence issues that stop you from trusting in your own abilities and moving forward.
4. Use sunlight to charge your crystals
Crystals absorb a lot of energy, which overtime can change their effectiveness. Therefore it’s important to make time to cleanse and then recharge them on a regular basis. There are many different techniques to do this and one of our favourites is to solar power them by charging them in the sun for a few hours. Be careful though, as some crystals can fade in colour or even start a fire if exposed to the sunlight for too long.
5. Download our Goddess Guidelines cards
The Goddess Guidelines Cards are a free printable deck, consisting of 27 motivating mantras to inspire you to connect with your inner Goddess and take authentic and aligned action that honours your true self. 6. Start writing a bucket list
The world is filled with so many exciting possibilities, yet so many of us let life pass us by without exploring them. If we want to create amazing experiences then we have to be intentional about it, and that starts with first deciding what it is we actually want. This month make some time to sit down and create a list of things that you would love to accomplish during your lifetime, Aka a bucket list!
7. Take yourself out on a date
As a society we have been conditioned to fear doing fun things by ourselves which means we often put off doing things that we love or would simply love to try unless we have someone to do them with us. Although companionship and spending time with others is important, so is spending quality time alone. This not only allows us to get to know ourselves more deeply but also gives us the opportunity to honour our own needs more. So this month (and every month) treat yourself as you would like to be treated and take yourself out on a date.
8. Create a weekly pamper schedule
Pampering ourselves can be one of the easiest and most effective forms of self-care, however, we don’t always make time to do it. Sometimes even when we do, we can rush through the process because there are other things vying for our attention, or we simply feel guilty for spending time on ourselves in this way. If that sounds like you, instead of trying to squeeze everything into one evening, why not create a weekly schedule which allows you to spread out your pampering activities over different days. That way you get to carve out some guilt free indulgence that takes less time but is more frequent.
9. Listen to the ‘Stars On Fire’ podcast
‘Stars On Fire’ is a podcast hosted by Sagittarian Astrologers Mecca Woods and Janelle Belgrave. Each episode the native New Yorkers discuss current events and pop culture in relation to astrology and the present placements of the planets. Topics can range from politics and world events, to entertainment and celebrity news. Whether you are new to the subject or not, it offers both an entertaining and insightful look into the world of mundane astrology.
