Astro Jewels: Weekly Horoscope 3rd July 2023 – 9th July 2023

A slightly shorter summary this week, [GoddessName], with fewer transits happening, but don’t let that fool you into thinking the cosmos is having a slow news week!  

We head straight into Monday with a Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn. This phase of the lunar cycle is about illumination, especially around themes of the zodiacal axis they are taking place in. Because this aspect is formed from an opposition between the Sun and Moon, it is a time when there is likely to be some form of conflict, more often than not with other people. 

The Cancer/Capricorn axis is all about home and work, as well as lineage and legacy, and so you may find issues around these topics coming up quite strongly for you, [GoddessName]. If there is an imbalance in these areas of your life, there is an opportunity for you to see clearly what needs to be changed.  

Full Moons often intensify our feelings, which is why they can be a time when people seem to be, well let’s just say a little sensitive, [GoddessName]. However, Capricorn’s sobering energy can really help to ground our emotions so that we can make practical use of them. 

As I said before, balance is key to this aspect, and whilst your needs may have a Capricorn focus at this time, it’s important to bring in some Cancer care to even things out. So if you are being disciplined with your material goals, bring that same level of discipline into your self-care practice. If you are spending a lot of time at work, plan some nurturing time at home and/or with those you call family. 

Jupiter is also forming a trine and sextile to the Sun and Moon respectively, adding a feeling of expansion. But expanding what is the question, [GoddessName]? Depending on how you approach things, you could be expanding the growth of your potential, or expanding your imbalances. Something to seriously consider! 

On the 4th the Moon enters the sign of Aquarius. This transit starts off squaring the nodes of destiny and then later on that day squaring Jupiter, the planet of growth, and so you may feel some inner tension about your future potential and what is possible, [GoddessName].

Although Aquarius is a sign that is often associated with being unconventional, idealistic, and innovative, it can have us feeling a bit emotionally detached. Because just like its next door neighbour, Capricorn, it is also ruled (or at least co-ruleed) by serious Saturn. Plus, it’s also a fixed sign, which means ideas can get stuck, which is not ideal if they are limiting and lacking sentiment.  

The following day, lunar will be opposing the Venus/Mars conjunction taking place in Leo, which could leave you feeling a bit detached from your passions and the things you love. On the other hand, this could give you the capacity to approach fulfilling your desires from an intellectual space, that helps you create a strategic solution. 

Also on the 6th, Mercury, the planet of communication and ideas, will form a square to Chiron, the planet of wounds and wisdom, in the signs of Cancer and Aries respectively. You may find your old wounds being triggered by the words of others and you may feel yourself being very defensive, if your sense of safety feels threatened by this. This could have you hiding away or preparing for battle, or perhaps even a combination of both, [GoddessName].

But like with any square, there is potential to overcome a challenge or create something great, even if the process doesn’t feel too good. Mercury is about our mental processes, and in Cancer we have the opportunity to tap into our intuition and highest guidance to help us change the way we think and therefore the way we act. 

Later on that day, the Moon enters her Disseminating phase, inviting us to integrate all that we have learned so far. This can be a great time for us to share our insights with others. However, as the Mercury/Chiron square is still lingering, you might want to be a bit more sensitive about how you approach this, [GoddessName], as your words could wound, even unintentionally. 

Shortly afterwards though, the Moon moves into Pisces, where it will stay for a few days, helping us to naturally be more sympathetic to the needs and feelings of others. This could really help reduce and heal any pain caused by previous misunderstandings.

On the 7th, Mercury forms a sextile to Uranus in Taurus, which could lead to some surprising  communication. You may also find yourself being hit with a lot of intuitive inspiration at this time, which can help you build for the future. So make a note of anything that comes up for you in thought or feeling during this time. 

Then finally, the Moon enters Aries on the 8th, bringing a sense of renewal and a need to make things happen. You may find yourself wanting to start something new, but instead of initiating a brand new project, this would be a good time to restart something that has previously brought your joy. Look into creative pursuits and things that you can do simply for pleasure, and not for productivity!
