Astro Jewels: Weekly Horoscope 31st July 2023 – 6th August 2023

We come into the week with a grounding grand earth trine between the Moon in Capricorn, Mars in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus, creating a beautiful blend of cosmic support between our needs, drive and vision.

Don’t be fooled by the practical down-to-earth element of this energy, [GoddessName], there is still plenty of potential for even the most daring and exciting of ambitions and visions. They just have to have a strong and steady strategy in place first. This is a great opportunity to get focussed and take practical steps that will yield results now and in the future. 

On Monday 31st July, we are still very much in the Gibbous phase of the lunar cycle, which invites us to evaluate our intentions and the progress of them. With Mercury also in methodical Virgo, we have the added edge of extra analytical prowess and attention to detail that is required to get the job done.

On Tuesday the 1st August the Moon departs from conformative Capricorn and enters the more rebellious sign of Aqaurius, inspiring us to get more innovative with our ideas and our approach to them. You may find yourself wanting to stand out and be counted as opposed to sticking to the rules of what is considered the norm.

Later on that day we have a Full Moon, as lunar in her new temporary residence of Aquarius, opposes the Sun in Leo. You may feel a tug between your head and your heart, as Aquarius wants us to lead with logic and Leo wants us to lead with love. Now that’s not to say that Aquarian nature isn’t loving, [GoddessName], it can have a very humanitarian vibe about it, but being ruled by Saturn, it is far more detached in its approach.

Opposition aspects usually bring up the topic of balance and with the Leo/Aquarius axis this is likely to be around the needs of the self versus the needs of the group and whatever communities you find yourself a part of.

One thing both of these signs have in common is the need to be authentic and unique, as well as the need to stand out. With Leo, we are looking at how we shine all by ourselves, but with Aquarius, we are looking at how we shine in a group setting.  

If you are striving to meet your solar needs of putting yourself first, then you may come up against some conflict from others who insist you dim your light. Or you may find it is you yourself, [GoddessName], that resists the spotlight that others have taken for themselves. Whatever side you find yourself on, remember the saying, ”a candle loses nothing by lighting another flame” and act accordingly.

A few hours later the trine between Mars and Jupiter reaches its exactitude, and you may notice your drive and desire for personal expansion grow, further emphasising your need to make your visions a reality. Again, we are dealing with earth energy here so expect it to feel more grounded and practical.   

On Wednesday the 2nd August, Mercury, the planet of communication and ideas forms an opposition to Saturn, the planet of structure and strategy. Your thoughts may suddenly become unclear or you may start to come up against some challenges when it comes to building on your ideas. There could also be some conflict when communicating with others, and you could find that there are some power struggles at play. 

The Virgo/Pisces axis has a strong tie to the way we are of service, but it’s important to remember that whilst we do have a sense of responsibility in the spaces we occupy, we can only truly be completely responsible for ourselves. In other words, [GoddessName], don’t let your ideas and intentions be derailed by the unhealthy needs of others. This is a time to be super cautious of your boundaries! 

This will become even more important, as on Thursday the 3rd August the Moon enters the boundless sign of Pisces. You may find yourself feeling more compassionate to the plights of others as your sensitivities increase. Of course, [GoddessName], being more open and understanding to one another is a great gift, but we also need to protect our own energy if we are to keep it flowing at a nice pace.

The following day on the 4th of August, the Moon reaches her disseminating phase, which invites us to share with others what has now been illuminated to us. As the Moon is still in Pisces at this point, it is likely that people will be more receptive to what we have to say, just make sure you say it clearly. 

Last but not least, on Saturday the 5th August the Moon enters Aries. You may find there is a sudden boost in your vitality levels and that you need to get something moving in some way. With us still being in the disseminating phase, this is a great energy for integrating what you have learned and injecting some fresh energy into existing ideas or intentions to help them keep growing.

People will likely be feeling more passionate and enthusiastic at this time, with an increased zest for life. Especially as the Moon will be forming a fire trine with both the Sun and Venus in Leo.
