Astro Jewels: Weekly Horoscope 10th July 2023 – 16th July 2023

Cosmic change is afoot this week, [GoddessName], as we have planetary sign shifts (aka ingresses) happening in both Mars and Mercury. 

We first flow into the week with a water trine between Mercury in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces. With the planet of ideas engaging in a positive energy exchange with the planet of ideals, you may find your imagination drifting into dreamy landscapes that help paint the perfect picture of how your life could be. 

This would certainly be a good time to go inwards and visualise yourself thriving within the collective and experiencing true emotional safety.

Your sensitivity is likely to be pretty high at this time, so be open to receiving intuitive insight that can help you evolve. Because of this, you are also likely to feel more connected to the energy of those around you, which could help cultivate some amazing conversations based on the foundation of real empathy and understanding. 

Hold onto this feeling, [GoddessName], as a few hours later we enter the Last Quarter Moon phase. With the luminaries forming their final square of the cycle, expect to come up against some kind of internal or external conflict. 

This phase invites us to look at how we can begin to create closure or close out projects we are working on. However, with the Moon still in Aries, you may find yourself wanting to start something new. This could be due to not getting the results you had hoped for (yet), or a lack of excitement that the remaining tasks on your to-do list bring you. Or simply needing the thrill that you get from initiating an idea. You know the feeling I’m talking about, right, [GoddessName]!

Instead of beginning a brand new project, find a way to inject energy into an existing one. If you have an old hobby you would love to revisit, now would be the perfect time, [GoddessName].

Also on the 10th, Mars, the planet of drive and action will be leaving passionate Leo and entering practical Virgo, where it will stay until the 27th of August. During this time, you may find yourself operating with a little less enthusiasm and excitement than you have recently been experiencing.

However, that doesn’t mean your desires are any less valid, [GoddessName]. Virgo is about the finer details and this transit gives us an opportunity to take a more organised approach to our goals so we can create real tangible results.  

We close out the day with Mercury making its way through the last degree of Cancer, whilst also opposing Pluto, the planet of transformation. During this time you may find yourself engaging in some challenging conversations, or coming up against some conflicting thoughts or ideas. This could leave you feeling like you need to go inwards as a way to perhaps protect yourself. Even if your insight isn’t well received, as long as you approach things with care and compassion, it is safe for you to speak your truth, [GoddessName]. Doing so could be a real moment of growth and evolution for you!

On the 11th the Moon moves into steady Taurus, inviting us to once again slow things down and focus on practical ways to take care of ourselves. Then a few hours later we have our second major shift of the week, as Mercury enters Leo. giving us a confidence boost to our communications. Over the next few weeks, you may find yourself wanting to be more social and also more visible. The following day the Sun in Cancer will form a challenging square to Chiron in Aries, which could bring up some old wounds around our identity and sense of self. Especially when it comes to our role and relationship with our family and any difficult dynamics we have. 

The Cancer/Aries square could bring out a defensiveness, whereby we either crawl into our shell for protection, or charge ahead in preparation. As with all squares, there is an opportunity for growth, and within this cosmic configuration, there is potential to heal something within us or within our relationships. Even if it doesn’t change the relationship itself, it could change how we hold the past and therefore how we integrate it in the future.   

On the 13th, the Moon not only moves into the versatile sign of Gemini, but also enters her Balsamic phase. This final phase of the lunar cycle is a time for letting go, retreating and disconnecting. I want to say good luck with the latter though, [GoddessName]. Because let’s face it, Gemini energy can have us needing to connect more than ever, which is very likely to leave you feeling more restless than rested.  If you can, find ways to satisfy your curiosities without expending too much energy! 

On the 15th the Sun connects to Uranus by sextile, shining a light on what makes us unique and special. This transit gives us an opportunity to stand out and find innovative ways to express ourselves. If you have been struggling with issues around your own autonomy, or even around self-acceptance, then this energy can help you tap into your own personal power and really own who you are. 

Then finally on the 15th, the Moon moves into her home sign of Cancer. Although she won’t enter the New Moon phase until early next week, she will still be sharing the same zodical energy as the Sun. So as you close out the week, [GoddessName], you may find yourself feeling more sensitive in your emotions, intuition and connections to others.
